NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week this year will launch our Re-Connecting to Country Project. This project will see us work to ensure First Nations Australian’s culture, language and history is seen, heard, and felt throughout our school. We begin with a traditional smoking ceremony, will link with TRACE Ecology to host activities throughout the week, and finish with an assembly on Friday.
Classroom Connections

Room 8 have been studying traditional Aboriginal symbols and how they are used to tell stories. The students then used these symbols to tell their own stories that would later be transferred on to bark. Their families were invited in to class to help create the bark art. This was a wonderful opportunity for them to see what the students have been working on and create something together.
Thank you Mrs Thomas for organising this fantastic event!
Roller-skating Fundraiser
A big thank you to all the families and friends who came along to our Disco skate party fundraiser ! The afternoon raised $426.
Thanks also to our fabulous hosts Morley Rollerdrome who gave us this space to laugh, dance and feel the wind in our hair.
Already looking forward to the next one.

Thank you to Miss Rossi and the staff for organising this event and the spectators from coming out and supporting the students. It was a beautiful day for the community to come together.
