Students return for Term 2 WEDNESDAY 26 APRIL
Enjoy a safe and happy holiday with your family.
Smile Day
In health the students in Room 2 have been learning about kindness, the concept of filling their emotional ‘bucket’ and filling the ‘bucket’ of others. The students ended the term with Smile Day. What a lot of happy faces there were after a full and exciting term.
Easter Raffle
Thank you to all of the families who contributed and supported the Year 6 Easter Raffle. There were over 30 prizes to be won! The years 6 students raised a total of $509.20 towards their end of year leaders activities. Fantastic!
PP Excursion
This term Pre-Primary’s have been running an in-class café complete with glittery cupcakes. They were then invited to the local cafe – Mazzy’s – for a behind the scenes tour! Thank you Melissa and the Mazzy’s team for welcoming the students’ staff and parents and answering all of their questions.

STEM at North Morley
North Morley has joined the CSIRO STEM Professionals in Schools program and would like to welcome Karen Lee-Waddell as our new School Scientist. Karen is an astrophysicist and the Director of the Square Kilometre Array. In this role, she is leading the Australian effort to build computing and data intensive research capabilities that will support astronomers using the current and next generation of radio telescopes. Karen will be working with our students and teachers to increase our STEM skills and knowledge through a range of activities that support and extend our curriculum.
The Year 4, 5 & 6 students met Dr Karen today when she gave a presentation on the Sun and answered a range of questions about the universe. Fortunately, the clouds dispersed, and the students could view the sun safely through some pinhole viewers and telescope heads.
