P&C Day WA
We want to say a Huge THANK YOU to our wonderful P&C members.
Did you know that in the last year alone the NMPS P&C volunteers installed the outdoor classroom, introduced the Containers for Change program at our school, secured multiple grants including funds for the installation of the bush tucker garden, ran the 50th anniversary tile fundraiser, funded the Noongar seasons totems, and provided over $9300 over the 20/21 school year towards classroom resources?
Annually the P&C also run the uniform shop, special canteen days, garden club, book club, containers for change and more!
Next time you see one of these wonderful people, say a big thank you!!!
What would we do without you!!!

Kindy Bike Track / Busy Bee
The last term highlighted once again how our small school has a BIG heart!
Through various active transport activities our school participated in over the year, we were able to unlock a platinum grant through Your Move. This allowed us access to funding for a bike track for our Kindy. Your Move not only covered the cost of the track and parking bays but supplied 3 new bikes, 2 new scooters and road signs. This new installation gives the students a great opportunity to learn the importance of road safety and practice this in a safe environment.
Thank you Your Move for your continued support!
Once this project got underway, the Kindy parents jumped on board and ran a busy bee over the holidays to give the rest of the play space a much needed makeover. A mountain of mulch was moved, planting and painting took place and the kindy is now bright and colourful once again. When the students arrived for the start of term 3 they were surprised and excited to use their new space. Thank you to the wonderful volunteer parents and staff who helped make this happen and the P&C for the funding they contributed to this project. Superstars!
PEAC Testing – Year 4
PEAC testing for Year 4 students will take place on Monday 2 August. The PEAC Program provides part time extension and enrichment for exceptionally able students in Years 5 and 6.
PEAC offers a range of courses that provide identified students with work that is intellectually challenging. All students in Year 4 will have the opportunity to be assessed for suitability for the PEAC Program. If you do not wish your child to be included in the PEAC assessment please notify the school in writing by Thursday 29 July.
If you require any further information, please contact Donna Reid.
Math Mystery – Year 2-6 Families invited to attend!
As part of the Lighthouse Maths program that our school is participating in, we are taking part in an exciting evening of maths activities for students and parents to enjoy together.
Parents will be provided with a handbook containing ideas on how to talk maths with their kids at home and several games you can play with cards and dice (also provided). Parents will be invited to participate in a maths murder mystery, solving many fun maths puzzles to ultimately catch the culprit! It can take from 20 to 80 minutes to solve. The session will run for 1.5 hours. It is ideal if attendees arrive at the beginning, but they do not need to stay for the whole time.
This event is taking place On Thursday 26 August from 4:00 – 5:30pm at North Morley. Invitations have been sent home with children from Years 2-6. Please return your RSVP form to the office ASAP.
All children must be attended by parents/guardians.
