Aladdin Trouble

After months of practise and preparation, the students performed the musical – Aladdin Trouble – to a packed Arts Centre. Congratulations to Mrs Poh and her wonderful senior cast members for a fabulous production. They performed with confidence and enthusiasm and were supported beautifully by a chorus of students from Years 1 to 5.

Thank you to Mrs V Thomas, Mrs Harris and Mrs Sarich for their help with props and costumes and Mr Buntain and Mr Carr for their time and expertise with the lights. Finally a big thank you to Mrs Poh for all of the time spent putting together a show of this size and the staff for their support throughout the process.

CHESS CLUB – Seeking Volunteer

The NMPS Chess Club has been a successful club running once a fortnight in the library. Mr Robert Buntain has been an integral part of the set up and success of this program. Sadly it is time for Mr Buntain to retire his chess clock. We are looking for another parent/carer/grandparent interested in volunteering for this role.

We would like to thank Robert for his commitment to the club. The students have thoroughly enjoyed learning the game and sharpening their skills.

Please contact the office if you are interested on 9218 1650.

Student Council Elections

Year 5 students running for leadership positions in 2023 addressed the student body today. We are very proud of these students for having the courage to put themselves forward for these roles. An official election process was set up by the Australian Electoral Commission, giving students the opportunity exercise their democratic right through the election process. Students in Years 3 to 6 then cast their votes for their preferred 2023 Student Councillors.

We wish all of the candidates good luck.
