On Friday we celebrated Grandparent’s Day. This is a very important and special day on our school calendar. The Pre Primary students hosted assembly with a delightful rendition of Wombat’s Stew – Grandma’s Stew! Grandparents were then invited to visit their grandchildren’s classrooms before enjoying a delicious morning tea in the staff room.
Here at North Morley we love to celebrate grandparents, the very important role they play and the contribution they make to our school community.
Thank you to the staff and parents for donating the delicious baked goods and for the hard work of the Pre Primary staff and students for organising their fantastic assembly item.
And the winner is…
This month the school community has been embracing the finer weather and walking, riding and rolling to school. Our month long competition saw numerous entries into the Super Mega Draw. Congratulations to our Active Transport Competition winners Charlotte, Emelia and Zayn! They have taken home some fantastic prizes donated by the wonderful people at Your Move.
Oz Harvest
This term the Year 6 students are participating in FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) This is a STEM based curriculum aligned program focusing on food and sustainability. For their first session the students learnt tips on combating food waste and made delicious peach parfaits!
We are very fortunate to have some parents joining in during these sessions and lending a hand.
Aladdin Trouble the Musical
The students have really been enjoying the process of putting the production – Aladdin Trouble – together and are looking forward to sharing this with the school community. We would like to stress the importance of everyone taking part in both performances, so the children have an additional opportunity to showcase their talent and hard work.
Tickets for the end of year musical Aladdin Trouble are on sale through the office.
